2009 Ford F-450 Super Duty

The 2009 F-Series Super Duty line of trucks, the industry's most capable full-size heavy-duty work trucks, come equipped with even more capability.

All four Super Duty trim levels -- XL, XLT, FX4, Lariat -- come with new standard features. The XL, the no frills workhorse version, now comes standard with air conditioning, Securilock, and manual trailer tow mirrors. The XLT, a step up from the XL, now has power heated trailer tow mirrors, privacy glass, integrated trailer brake controller, remote keyless entry and Securilock as standard features.

The Ford Work Solutions is a collection of industry-first, affordable technologies available on 2009 F-Series Super Duty trucks that provides customers connectivity, flexibility and security to better run key aspects of their business -- from their Ford Truck, even on the job site.

New for 2009 is a `Built Ford Tough' factory-applied spray-in bedliner, available on F-Series Super Duty pickups. It delivers exceptional weather resistance and protection against gouging, scratching, cracking and chipping.

The 6.4-liter diesel joins a proven gasoline powertrain lineup that includes the 6.8-liter, three-valve Triton V-10 that makes 362 horsepower and 457 lb.-ft. of torque (class-leading figures).

Customers also can choose Ford's 5.4-liter, three-valve Triton V-8 that delivers 300 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. of torque. More than 80 percent of peak torque -- nearly 300 lb.-ft. -- is available starting as low as 1,000 rpm. Both engines benefit from electronic throttle control, which provides economy and performance benefits.
